Turn a browser page into a desktop app

In Chrome:
Go to the website, click the three-dot menu, select "More Tools," and then click "Create shortcut". You can choose to have it open as a new window. -

Alternatively, drag and drop:
For some browsers, you can resize the window to see your desktop, then drag the icon from the left side of the address bar onto the desktop.
